Are you ready for a change? STC, an independent broadband and phone provider just 6 miles south of Iowa City, is seeking a full-time Accountant.
Job Functions:
- Prepare Financial Statements and related analysis
- Assist with filings for State and National government bodies
- Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, making appropriate adjustments on a timely basis
- Prepare supporting schedules and explanations for external auditors
- Assist with annual budget preparation, forecast adjustments and annual financial audit
- Work with current employees to ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Vendor Management
- General customer service support
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or commensurate experience required
- Strong working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is essential
- Experience with telecommunications and broadband services preferred
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
